Weatherboard cladding and the joinery around it, coated dark with the trim left light. The cut line where the two meet is the part of an exterior job worth looking at closely.
Charcoal weatherboard
A rushed hand shows from the footpath, and it shows at the cut line before it shows anywhere else. Holding that edge straight along a whole elevation is slower work than the coating either side of it.
Dark colours on an exterior are less forgiving than light ones. They show every lap and every stopped edge, so we wash the boards back and seal them properly before any colour goes near them.
