Walls, a raked panelled ceiling and joinery in one long room, photographed from the kitchen end and again from the living end. It is one room, which is why it appears twice rather than counting as two jobs.

The ceiling is most of the work here. It is lined board rather than plasterboard, so every join and every fixing sits proud of the surface and shows under a coat of white, and it is raked, which means working overhead at an angle for the length of the room.
We paint walls, ceiling and joinery as one job, in the order a house wants them: ceilings before walls, walls before trim.
